Ranching and travel views in Arizona, New Mexico and Mexico

Abstract:

Chiefly snapshots of ranch and desert scenes in Arizona, with views from excursions in Mexico and New Mexico. Locations include a trip to the Montoya Mine, Saw Mill Canyon (Ajo Mountains, Arizona?), Estancia (New Mexico), Martin's Ranch (Cerro Colorado), San Antonio Ranch and vicinity (Arizona), Cananea (Sonora), a trip to Arizpe (Sonora), San Lazaro Ranch (San Lá Zaro, Sonora?), Santa Barbara a the Tecolotes Mill (Chihuahua, Mexico), Tucson (Arizona), Mt. Lemon, the Huachuca Mountains (Arizona), and the Y-Lightning Ranch (Hereford, Arizona). Includes many views of men and women on excurions by automobile and horseback, and many desert and mountain landscapes. Many views of Rodeo Week in Tucson (February, 1927) are present, including: a group of Indians from La Osa Ranch posing in an auto in front of the Gibbs Motor Co. showroom; rodeo riding and roping; and a Chrysler decorated as "Shorty Kelso's Official Bulldogging Car" (promoting Gibbs Motor Co.).
